Lights, Camera, Action!
The Drama Department at Douglas Elementary encourages students to be actively involved in becoming passionate,
innovative, and culturally enriched life-long learners.
The objective is to provide a
foundation for students to reach their full potential through a comprehensive,
standards-aligned curriculum that is enhanced by Drama.
Students are empowered to create their own learning through the exploration of Essential Questions. Students use a variety of theatre techniques and forms as they investigate the issues raised by these questions and the ideas they are studying in their regular classrooms.
COMING SOON: The 6 week Dragon Theater scheduled to begin near the end of September. Once a week 3rd, 4th and 5th grade Douglas Dragons will meet to create a skit to be performed during an informance!
ALSO: The MUSICAL music teacher, Ms. Zelasky and Rockin’ Rouse will be holding auditions for our SPRING MUSICAL!
