100% of your Phantom Fundraiser donations will be used for the programs PTA supports at Douglas. We will
continue to collect donations this week and throughout the year.
If you are interested in helping cut out character trait leaves, stop by the main office and pick some up.
Sign up to be a volunteer through the WCPSS computer system--Ms. Bussell will help you in the media center. Whether you help in centers, shelve books or go on field trips, you have to be signed up. Background checks are only necessary if you are going to do individual tutoring or be with students without teacher supervision.
Watch the leaves sprout on the Character Tree mural. You'll be pleasantly surprised at what the Douglas
students are caught doing!

Each family gets one directory and should be brought home by your youngest child.
ARTS NIGHT and Carrabas Family Dinner
Come and spend a creative evening at school. You can even enjoy an Italian dinner from Carrabas on Oct. 19th. Dinner ticket order form will be sent out on Oct. 9th in the Monday folders.
Order your dinner so you won't have to cook!
TREASURE ISLAND VIDEO/DVD
I know a number of parents recorded our production of TREASURE ISLAND last spring. If you have a video or dvd, please contact Lucinda Gainey (lgainey2@wcpss.net) or call the main office and leave a message.
We would like to have a copy for our archives, and
we're looking to show parts of it at the magnet fair in
November.
