Arts Night Activities

Don’t miss out on Arts Night – Tuesday, October 25 from 5-8 p.m.  Be sure to turn in your dinner orders this week for the Carrabba’s Italian Feast.  It is $5 per person and all dinners must be pre-ordered.  In addition to the Book Fair, families can participate in a host of arts activities throughout the night.  Come and join the fun.

Fall Feed

The PTA along with Mama Fu's Restaurant located in North Hills will provide lunch to our Douglas Staff on Friday, October 21st.  Families, if you would like to provide a drink, side item, or dessert for our staff on Friday, October 21st, please email or call Alice Spickard: 877-0490 or alicespickard@yahoo.com.  We can also use help with set up, clean up and serving on that day.

If you are at North Hills, stop in and thank the folks at Mama Fu's for their donation to Douglas Elementary!

Title I /ALP Parent Meeting

Parents of students receiving Title I or ALP services are invited to a dinner meeting on Thursday, October 27 in the Douglas Media Center from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.

Keep On Clipping Box Tops

We’re collecting all month – so keep on sending in those General Mills Box Tops for Education.  They mean important dollars for Douglas!

New Douglas T-Shirts

Our new T-Shirt Design will be on display at Arts Night! We will have the opportunity to order them at that event and during the following week. Pricing information will be sent home in next week’s Monday folder! Thanks to the many who submitted designs.  We're looking forward to having our student-designed shirts for all to wear!

Wrapping Paper Wrap-Up

We will have the drawing for the stuffed animals at the end of this week, so if you have not yet turned in your sales forms and money, please bring it to school with you on Tuesday! We have many students who have not yet turned in their sales forms, and hope that we will have a wide participation. This is our major fundraising event for the year, and we have many new programs we want to be able to support! If you would prefer to make a donation to the PTA in lieu of selling the wrapping paper, a minimum donation of $40 will enable your student to participate in the year-end jump party. Please call or email Kim Lamb with questions: klamb2@nc.rr.com or 878-0848.
