Extras!
- The Dragon Theatre: Students are invited to audition for school productions periodically throughout the year. This Fall the Dragon Theatre presents “Cinderella or It’s OK to be Different.” For more information contact: Mrs. Gainey, drama teacher.
- Chorus: 4th and 5th graders are invited to join chorus. Chorus members practice before school and perform at concerts throughout the year. For more information contact: Mrs. Zelasky, music teacher.
- Odyssey of the Mind: Creative problem solving, teamwork in action, building, performing, thinking, creating… The Odyssey of the Mind teaches students to learn creative problem-solving methods while having fun in the process. Douglas will sponsor student teams which meet beginning in October and work towards the regional OM competition which takes place March 1, 2008. For more information contact: Mrs. Hofmann, first grade teacher.
 
- Safety Patrol: 5th graders make up our Safety Patrol! They arrive early and leave late as they help Douglas students safely into and out of our school. For more information contact: Ms. Derthick, Safety Patrol Advisor.
- Junior Librarians: Students volunteer in the library… For more information contact: Mrs. Bussell, Media Specialist.
- Computer Graphics Class: This group of students meets before school to learn how to create computer graphics. For more information contact: Mr. Myers, Technology Specialist.
- Tech. Crew: These 4th and 5th graders operate the video cameras and sound equipment needed for our morning announcements.
